Check-out time. Hopped over to St. Charles to Serio's Deli for brunch (baked chicken and a hot sausage po-boy!).

Bianca: Damn, it's been a long time since I had baked macaroni and cheese. Back up, I must get black...

It started raining very tempestuously and suddenly; it is a characteristic of Southern storms. After it subsided (which took less than an hour, but left enough water to lap over the curbs) we wandered to Starling Occult & Metaphysical Books on Royal Street but it was closed, the bastards.

We had until the late afternoon to leave on the airport shuttle, so we relaxed with iced mochas at Epitome Cigars and talked with Richard, who is a man after our own hearts (has goth friends, loves cigars, is interested in rave culture, designs websites, is an incredible illustrator, and an old biker). We bought a box of the 1492 cigars (which are a real treat), and a present for Doug. ;)

We wandered aimlessly through a few stores: the Magic Bus music store, the Gallery of Light, and Rumors (AWESOME masks - a must-see), before grabbing a last shake at Poppy's Grill, realizing we were pressed for time, and practically running back to the hotel in the New Orleans sun. We're ready to go home; we miss our kids and all of you.

DAMAGE REPORT: More blisters on Dave's feet.
