Visitors, inspired or disgusted by the depressed workings of the Goth-O-MaticTM, or perhaps goaded by my invite to send original works, have graciously sent in their own poetry. Below you will find a collection of others' odes. They are in no particular order, and are not rated, corrected or critiqued, as I will leave it to you to decide which are good, which are bad, and which are delightfully, horribly bad gothic poetry.
Thanks to all who have sent in their thoughts. If a piece appears here that belongs to you, and you wish it removed from this page, please send an e-mail and I will promptly cast it into the abyss.
Note: All works below are the sole property of those who sent them. They belong to them alone, so don't swipe someone's words and present them as your own. It is bad gothic karma, for one thing, and also a squadron of Lovecraftian nightgaunts will swoop down and tickle you until you faint with horror. So just read and enjoy and swoon.
The Department for Deathly Creative Arts here at the Dead Lounge is always eager to embrace new ideas. Have a Darkly Gothic poem of your own? Want to throw one at us? Know of a Web page stuffed to the eyeliner with bad, er, morbidly expressive compositions? Let us know.
